Following the Green Deal on Green Roofs, NextGreen is now working on the action plan for the National Rooftop Plan 2020-2023. This emphasizes the importance of multifunctionality in the roofing landscape in order to achieve a greater impact than just focusing on using roofs for solar panels. Our rooftops can also provide solutions for nature, heat stress, flooding, well-being and the growing demand for the limited space that is available in built environments.
Through this action plan, the partners in the National Rooftop Plan invite others to join us in taking on this challenge together. The plan provides direction and can be adjusted in response to monitoring and social trends. It’s full speed ahead in the transition towards multifunctionality on Dutch rooftops!
