Financial sector and government explore collaboration on resilient agriculture and nature
On Friday, November 22, 2024, NextGreen organized the working conference “Collaborating on Resilient Agriculture and Nature” on behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality (LVVN) and the Platform for Sustainable Financing. More than 90 participants gathered to collaborate on building a future-proof and climate-resilient Netherlands.
Report ‘Business models for nature’ launched
In September 2024, the Finance & Biodiversity Community of the EU B&B platform launched the report "Business Models for Nature." The report focuses on scaling up public-private investment opportunities for nature and biodiversity.

During a field trip to the Wienerberger brick factory, participants in the Adaptation Workshop saw how jointly monitoring species on-site further increases employee engagement.
COP15: important agreement reached on biodiversity conservation and restoration
Anne-Marie Bor of NextGreen participated in COP15 in Canada in her coordinating role for the Finance for Biodiversity Foundation. At the summit, more than 190 governments agreed to protect 30 percent of land and seas as nature reserves by 2030.

Anne-Marie Bor of NextGreen participated in the Biodiversity Summit in Canada in her coordinating role in the Finance for Biodiversity Foundation. At this summit, global negotiations took place on new biodiversity targets.
Climate-resilient financial sector: a new working group
In the new Climate Adaptation working group, the financial sector is collaborating with government bodies to make the Netherlands climate-proof. The working group was launched in June 2022 and builds on the vision presented by NextGreen, Samen Klimaatbestendig, and VBDO.
Millions invested in green business parks
Industrial estates in the Netherlands will be transformed into green, healthy, and climate-resilient places in the coming years. On the advice of the National Growth Fund, the Council of Ministers decided to allocate €26 million to the Working Landscapes of the Future program for green industrial estates. NextGreen is one of the parties involved in this program.
