In 2021, the Finance & Biodiversity Community focused on "Engagement with companies" as the central theme for sharing practical experiences and joint learning. Participants exchanged experiences about engaging with companies on biodiversity.

The Decision Support Working Group of the Financial Incentives Alliance created a framework for developing a mix of financial incentives and policy instruments for climate adaptation: the Policy Mixer. After two years, the partners concluded the Financial Incentives Alliance.

New foundation: Finance for Biodiversity Foundation
Six months after the launch of the Finance for Biodiversity Pledge, the Finance for Biodiversity Foundation was established. The foundation's goal is to support cooperation between signatories to the Pledge and to translate this into action.
