Fifth Update to the “Collaborative Engagements Overview”
News
The Finance for Biodiversity Foundation and the EU Business & Biodiversity Platform published the fifth update of the “Collaborative Engagements Overview”.
Forty-six engagement initiatives
Financial institutions are increasingly engaging with companies on biodiversity in various ways. This overview highlights ongoing engagement initiatives for financial institutions and provides information on previous joint initiatives. This fifth update covers 46 collective engagements and joint investor letters, 19 of which are currently ongoing.
Partnership
NextGreen compiled the overview as part of its work for the EU Finance and Biodiversity Community, in collaboration with the Finance for Biodiversity (FfB) Foundation. Engaging in dialogue with these companies—known as “collaborative engagement”—is a key strategy for combating biodiversity loss. It is one of the five commitments of the Finance for Biodiversity Pledge.
Engagement Related to Sectors, Domains, and Biodiversity Challenges
This publication provides an overview of current and past biodiversity-related collaborative initiatives of which we are aware. It identifies the key sectors, areas, and biodiversity challenges that investors are focusing on. It also includes the parts of the value chain that have a significant impact and where engagement is taking place. More background information on collaborative engagement can be found in the Guide on Engagement with Companies.
