Finance guide on engaging with companies on biodiversity
Members of the Finance for Biodiversity Foundation, together with the Finance & Biodiversity Community, have launched a guide on engaging with companies on issues related to biodiversity.
How to start the conversation
The guide provides information and support for financial institutions on how to engage with companies on biodiversity issues. The "Finance for Biodiversity – Guide on engagement with companies" was launched in a webinar on April 12, 2022, organized by the Finance for Biodiversity Foundation, UNEP FI, the PRI, and the EU Finance & Biodiversity Community.
Manual
Katarina Heissenberger (Swedbank Robur) and Claire Ahlborn (Robeco) presented the guide on behalf of the six authors. The guide offers guidance, information, and references for various aspects of engagement for biodiversity.
Creating awareness
The guide addresses questions such as: how do you raise awareness about biodiversity, which sectors, value chains, or companies should you partner with, what objectives and targets should you set, and which topics have been included or excluded in completed and ongoing joint engagement initiatives to date. The guide was written by six participants based on their practical experience and enriched with case studies.
