Context

"Work Landscapes of the Future" is a knowledge and innovation program working toward the transition to green, healthy, and climate-resilient business parks. This transition requires a learning-based approach, in which coalition partners regularly reflect during implementation on whether the program and its underlying projects are still contributing to the intended goals and desired systemic change. Within the program, there was a need to strengthen reflection and collective learning. In that context, we explored how Reflexive Monitoring in Action can contribute to this and how the findings can be embedded within the program.

Approach and activities

To explore and analyze its applicability, we placed the Werklandschappen program within a broader transition context and identified areas where RMA can be effectively applied. Together with our coalition partner TAUW, we held discussions with stakeholders from the Werklandschappen coalition.

We analyzed existing reflection and learning structures and implemented two RMA interventions. We have compiled the insights, results, and recommendations for institutionalization and follow-up into a guide that provides a solid foundation for the continued application of RMA within the “Work Landscapes of the Future” program.
