Context

Momentum for biodiversity is growing rapidly within the financial sector, and with it the number of initiatives, network organizations, and platforms related to this topic. The purpose of the report is to provide financial institutions with insight into what initiatives exist, who is doing what, and to accelerate collaboration.

Approach and activities

The report was prepared by the Finance for Biodiversity Foundation, Finance & Biodiversity Community, UNEP FI, and PRI. The overview document highlights topics each initiative is working on, planned activities and products, publications, and contact information. The overview was launched on April 1, 2021, during the webinar on biodiversity measurement methods and will be updated annually.
