A series of workshops and breakout sessions brought together government, business, and civil society organizations in a dialogue on natural capital, resulting in joint action plans for sustainable business cases.
Context
Better investments and innovative revenue models are key to creating a sustainable business case that takes natural capital into account. A shared goal, more and clearer information, and the resulting increase in social awareness can together provide the foundation needed to achieve this.
Objective
Gaining insight into joint follow-up steps for natural capital, by:
- Five workshops with frontrunners and participants in ongoing programs
- Formulating lines of action
- Making the roles, actions, and cooperation of the various parties explicit
Process approach
The main conclusions from the dialogue between the national government and several social sectors, organized by NextGreen in the fall of 2015. We did this based on our conviction that innovative collaboration is crucial for a resilient economy that also takes natural capital into account.
