Climate change is affecting us all. More frequent heatwaves, heavy rainfall and droughts are all affecting the quality of our living environment. Climate change is also impacting the working environment of companies. With a more blue-green design and ‘Nature-Based Solutions’, such as green roofs and trees, the effects of climate change can be mitigated. Reduced energy consumption can lead to savings (less air conditioning due to cooling green spaces), improved air quality (filtering green), and noise reduction. Additional gains, as well as an improved corporate reputation and health benefits for employees. More green space also provides better habitats for bees, butterflies and birds.
But who will invest in such an integrated approach to combined public and private space? How can business, authorities, investors, banks or insurers jointly build a sound business case. Based on the latest insights from the processes that NextGreen is facilitating, we will present a number of steps and tools for establishing a joint revenue model.
Business, financial institutions, authorities and consultants are invited to join our first online thematic workshop, which will be conducted in Dutch. As well as climate resilience, the relationship with the energy transition, circular economy and mobility will also be on the agenda.
We will highlight insights from:
- Inventory Finance and Climate Adaptation
- Alliance Financial Incentives
- Green Deal Green Roofs (recently transformed into National Rooftop Plan)
- EU Finance & Biodiversity Community
- Green Deal Infra Nature
- Revenue Model BioBorders (in Dutch)
Let us know if you are interested in taking part, or would like to be updated on the online workshop ‘Workshop Revenue Model for Green-Blue Business Sites’ on October 1st, 10.00 – 11.30 am.
